Job Summary:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and capable Associate Network Field Technician to join our dynamic team. This role involves supporting the Network Field Operations team in executing network-related projects with a focus on efficiency and adherence to budgets. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of computer and IP networking technologies, applying these skills in various field operations. Key responsibilities include assisting in the optimization of internal processes to enhance workflow, participating in training initiatives, supporting team members under supervision, and collaborating with leadership for the effective allocation of resources.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing network-related projects, ensuring they are completed within set timelines and budgets
  • Support the installation, operation, and maintenance of network infrastructure under supervision
  • Assist in conducting network evaluations, identifying gaps, and suggesting improvements
  • Utilize knowledge of computers and IP networking in field operations
  • Help develop and refine internal processes to improve efficiency and workflow
  • Participate in creating and delivering training materials and sessions to facilitate team development
  • Work with DigitalC leadership and vendors for resource allocation and operational prioritization
  • Operate a variety of vehicles, including cars, trucks, or other equipment as required
  • Contribute to regular project status reports and participate in site audits for network modernization and expansion
  • Maintain a clean driving record and valid driver's license
 

Qualifications/Skills:                                                                                                                                       

  • A minimum of two years in a technical discipline or equivalent experience is preferred
  • At least two years of experience in cellular or ngFWA environments is desirable
  • Ability to support team efforts and assist in project management effectively
  • Must have a clean driving record and a valid driver's license
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite for workflow management
  • Flexibility to work varying hours, including shifts, weekends, on-call duties, and holidays
  • Physically capable of performing tasks like standing, climbing, balancing, and lifting objects up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to work in diverse weather conditions and remote locations
  • Basic troubleshooting skills in Ethernet and Fiber networks, with familiarity in relevant equipment and testing methods
  • Experience in supporting the installation, optimization, and maintenance of network infrastructure is a plus
  • Ability to work both independently and in teams, using hand and power tools, and setting up network troubleshooting equipment in the field
